Demand for screwcap closures in NZ continues to grow at incredible rates as more and more wine producers adopt this technology. Guala Closures are able to offer plain, printed and embossed caps manufactured locally or the WAK internally threaded cap which we can import from one of our 23 sister plants around the world. Guala Closures NZ aims to continue on with high quality closures and service the business is renowned for whilst looking to introduce further developments in technology from our global R&D facilities. Tasman Westside Printers Limited have been associated with the wine industry of New Zealand for over 25 years. Initially we produced glue back labels for some prominent NZ brands and from 2003, we started producing self adhesive wine labels.

Waipara Valley Wine Growers

“Since the inception of the Waipara Valley as a wine growing region, Riesling has been at the forefront of the grape varieties produced in this area. The love affair began with the 1986 Robard & Butler Amberley Riesling, which took out The THC Champion Wine of the Show at the NZ National Wine Competition. It was the first time a Riesling had done this. Small producers making outstanding Riesling ever since has been one of the things that has given the Waipara Valley its point of difference.”

“In recent years the valley has attracted a group of young people who have a passion for this variety. They have gone on to form The Riesling Committee as part of The Waipara Valley Winegrowers, and one of their first achievements has been to get “In Praise of Riesling” up and running. Behind them stand the winemaking community in the valley, both newcomers and stalwarts, large and small producers. The committee and the winegrowers’ organisation would like to acknowledge their support, as well as the sponsors for this event.”
